Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother, and her father, in USA. She was subjected to racial remarks and being made to feel unwelcome. As she entered the 9th grade she began to feel more secure after being applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions were changed. In 1992, she received her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23, she started her professional career on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot she portrayed the role of Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. Following that, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. An accomplished singer and producer, she's produced one single and an extended work. She has also been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
